Because the Deeper Smart Sonar PRO+ and Sonar Pro Fish Finders have built-in Wi-Fi connection they provide better distance range and higher scanning frequency than the original Deeper Smart Fish Finder which worked on Bluetooth.
Distance and depth ranges of the PRO+ and Pro are:
- Up to 330 ft / 100 meters distance range between fishfinder and your mobile device
- Up to 260 ft / 80 meters depth range
Frequency scanning of the PRO+ and Pro are:
- Up to 15 scans per second to capture fast moving objects
- 8x extended dynamic range for more accurate detection of objects underwater
- High scanning resolution separates objects in a distance up to 0.04 ft / 1.3 cm to capture smaller objects underwater

| Dual Frequency Sonar |
Both the Deeper Smart Sonar PRO+ and Sonar Pro Fish Finders also offer dual frequency sonar beam:
- 290 kHz (15 degrees) - narrow beam for high accuracy scans of bottom structure and fish
- 90 kHz (55 degrees) - wide beam for extended search area
Both the Deeper Smart Sonar PRO+ and Sonar Pro Fish Finders feature Boat Mode bottom contour mapping. Boat Mode allows you to mark real-time bathymetric data on top of your archived offline map and display it directly on the screen of your mobile device. Your mobile device / smartphone's GPS is used to set your precise location. All maps can be archived for future use.

The Sonar PRO+ has a couple of extra features that the Pro does not have:
- Built-in GPS (PRO+ only)
- Boat Onshore GPS Mode (PRO+ only) - enables water bed mapping while onshore as well as off
Both the Deeper Smart Sonar PRO+ and Sonar Pro Fish Finders come with a rechargeable battery. There's a slight difference in battery life between these two devices, with the Sonar PRO+ battery lasting for around up to 5.5 hours continuous use, while the Sonar Pro lasts a little longer at up to 6 hours continuous use on a single charge. Both batteries have a complete recharge time of around two hours.
Both the Deeper Smart Sonar PRO+ and Sonar Pro are small and lightweight devices that fit easily in with your fishing gear or can be attached to your belt with the included neoprene carry pouch. Dimensions:
