The Garmin Approach G5 Golf GPS is pre-loaded with thousands of golf course maps and offers free updates with NO annual subscription!
The high sensitivity of the GPS receiver in the Garmin Approach G5 measures individual shot distances and ensures that you know the exact yardage to all fairways, hazards and greens. It tracks club distance averages, records putts per round, fairways hit and greens in regulation.
The Approach G5 is both rugged and waterproof (with IPX7 waterproofing) yet weighs just 6.8 oz (including batteries) for easy portability and handheld use. It incorporates a 3 inch sunlight-readable touch-screen which displays extremely detailed course maps.
With the Approach G5’s Green View, you can zero in on the pin – use the touch screen to simply zoom in by tapping on the flag on the map and then drag the flag to position it where you can see it.
The Digital Scorecard on the Approach allows you to keep score for up to 4 players and you can then save and review the scores on your computer at home.

See what some customers who have bought the Garmin Approach G5 Waterproof Golf GPS have to say about it:
T.M.:
“I downloaded the latest Garmin course database and was pleased to find all my local courses. The Garmin Approach G5 GPS Golf is very easy to use with its touch-screen and I still haven't read the manual yet after five rounds. :) Knowing the exact distance to targets, hazards, etc seems to build my confidence. As a result, my game has improved significantly. At a local private club recently, the Approach G5 was so convenient and accurate that our caddy finished up using my Garmin GPS instead of his laser rangefinder. This is how the battery life stacks up: Energizer Max AA lasted 27 holes, Duracell Coppertop lasted longer, 2-3 rounds and with the Lithium AA batteries from Energizer, the indicator still shows ¾ power left after 4 rounds. :)”
G.G.:
“The Garmin Approach G5 GPS is one fantastic product. It now has over 10,000 courses pre-loaded. I recently asked for a new course to be added to the database, and with my next free update, that course was included. I also received an e-mail from Garmin to inform me that the course had been added. When the unit is turned on, it brings up the course you're at as a first option. It's very accurate from all over the course, even under trees. The Approach G5 has a neat feature which allows you to move the flag to the location where it is placed on the green that day. Everything can be accomplished without using any buttons. Just select what feature you want by using the touch-screen.”
